Meg and John went to jogging in the morning around the neighbors. They ended almost 2 miles in jungle gravel or muddy road in mist. They found so many cool natures including old fallen lava tube. I wonder Meg might be interested in field type sports? Bo still had fever and in bed. Not much appetite but just kept sleeping. We’ve been checking his temperature and hydrating him, but let him sleep. Since he was a baby, that’s how he recovers: just sleep. We got his meds ready but temp was not high enough so we decided to let his body fight with his heat. We’re ready to give him fever meds if fever gets too high. So since this house got so quiet and Meg doesn’t have a playmate, I took her out to the different local beach. Carlsmith Beach Park . It has very small parking but we got lucky to be able to find a spot where someone was just ready to leave. Just like Onekahakaha Beach from yesterday, this beach also doesn’t have a sand to lay down or play to make a sand castle. Onekahakaha at leas...
We woke up around 4:30am zzzz and got ready. Everything had been ready last night, including online check in & payment for the bags, so all we had to do was changing clothes. I had sensitive belly yesterday and this morning. Probably from too much excitement? We got an uber to the airport. The driver was used to be a truck driver and she had some fun stories. Like a story of the passenger she had one time. She picked up this drunk guy at downtown Nashville, and he opened the door to get out while she’s still driving because he was not feeling good. Yikes. We got to the airport without any traffic, bag drop off was easy, security was easy (we have TSA pre check), and we got to the gate 80mins before the boarding. Our first 3 hours flight won’t have any food service (unless we pay a lot for it), so I prepared a snack/meal bag previously packed for each of us. It’ll keep us fill for this trip. Our second flight from Denver for 7hrs should have some food. J...
Well, so today is the last day with my family. I woke up around 4 AM as usual, wrote the previous blog. Suitcases were mostly packed. Everybody’s changes were out, so all they needed to do after waking up would be get dressed & pack pjs. Before left, Ayako told me that there’s a purse she was interested in, but didn’t have a chance to grab it, so I decide to get it for her. After all, she left some US dollar with us saying we can use them to buy some stuff. The place she wanted the purse from is called Dean & Deluca , known as an awesome bakery and café with fancy other items for sale. Super popular for Japanese people for souvenirs that some of them has the store & Hawaii name on it. Since it’s a bakery, I decided to grab breakfast for all of us. Goodness it was a great decision! Super delicious baked goods! I got some sweet & savory foods and coffee too, and visited parents room to let them pick first. They got egg sandwich and ham&egg croissant...
