Mahalo & Aloha!

Well, this would be my last post of this blog about our trip to Hawaii.  I want to say thank you for everything, but special thanks for: Thank you Chris and Robin for your generosity to let us stay at Camp BE hive, thank you family, who watch over our house while we were gone, thank you friends, who babysit our chickens, and thank you family, who came to meet us in Hawaii, and thank you for those who gave us all the advices. One great things of Hawaiian trip is Bo figured out that he might be interested in cooking. With some trainings and his personality of love to try new things to do (unfortunately not eating new things), he might be a good cook soon! Yep he loves making pancakes. Did I say Hawaii is super expensive for everything? Pineapples in Tennessee is cheaper!  I’m not a big fan of this tea.. it’s yours if anybody wants it. Sorry I opened it and took a tea spoon amount out of it.  Did I mention that I miss poke? Well, I noticed that I should make it if it’s not a...

Our keepsakes are our memories

Before the feelings and memories fade away, we have to write down…  Positive things about our 1 month experience Reminders for how we are blessed (for so many things in daily life) We have way too many things! We don’t need this much stuff to survive. John’s work style helps a lot for our traveling loving life style Homeschooling rocks as usual We don’t need a screen time! TV, YouTube,  Kids got more independent & learned how to travel Reunited with family was great Hawaiian culture is more interesting and deeper than I expected Having power and water without thinking the limit is amazing Owning washer&dryer is saving time&money A/C is amazing. It was warm enough so they don’t have a heater in the area we stayed, but yet it’s still little too chilly (in winter) so we had to bundle up after sunset lol Hawaiian groceries are pricy! Egg, milk, gas, things are so expensive in Hawaii! 2-3x? Living in TN is super duper cheap! We learned about Hawaiian spirit. Aloha...

We’re home!

We are pretty beat up from long flights & time change, so let me excuse myself with just photos. They are in wrong order as usual, new to old. Look what we received in the mail to me. Senior living assistant home? Is 45 already the age to plan “that” ahead?! United Airline is very very strict about personal items and carry-on luggage. We technically supposed not to have any carry-on luggage for our cheapest tickets, but just one personal item only per person based on the rules. We all had one backpack, and I had a purse besides it. They said that would count as 2 personal items for me, so I had to shove my purse into the backpack, or I had to pay $65 fine at the gate. It used to be that ladies can carry one personal bag + purse, but apparently not anymore! Silly rules!

Denver now!

Oh man, the pictures were uploaded the newest to the oldest again. You are going to see them in the wrong order.   This was our final dinner in Hawaii. Lava lava beach club . Great place right besides the beach! Pricy tho lol  We left the Camp BE hive! (That’s the name of Chris’s cabin). It provided us a great housing for a month, totally eye opening for new life style. We will miss that house!  Shaka! We had lunch at L&L in Kea’au shopping center Yeah Meg caught another lizard I don’t think he’s happy  Last laundry! We had to wash all the linens & towels we used We came to Hilo to rent a car. Airports in Hawaii don’t have walls.  Tossing final trash So we woke up mid night with heavy rain! We thought the whole island could be flooded!  Oohh ok, the order of the photos are in order now! So, we returned our rental car at Kona airport. Meg is super tired, most likely from playing tag with her full energy with other kids at beach restaurant lol Taking ...
