Slow day at Hilo

Image
The morning start from John’s meeting at 7 AM. He’s a hard-working guy! After that, we had tropical fruit breakfast again lol. We just enjoy all different fruits we can have. Kids hang out on the porch and exploring the nature around the cabin. I was doing some housework like fixing beds, vacuuming the floor, and three of us besides John headed out to Hilo to grab some more cacao beans. It’s his favorite snack now.  They made necklaces with abalone shells We stopped by at the nearby 7-Eleven convenience store to grab a lunch for ourselves. Thanks to Japanese influences, they have bento boxes, riceballs, and Chinese steam buns available there. Oh, I will miss these things when I go home. I found there’s a different chocolate shop just around the corner from where we went last time, so we decide to try that ...

Thankfully, we’ve been having no problem with power for over a week without using generator. Still, at night we try to be conservative for usage of power, we use rechargeable lights. That means, we have to take them out in the sun during the day time. Pineapple is not rechargeable lol but the fruits stand lady told me that I should keep it in warm place one more day, so I let it sit next to the lights while they are charging ...
