Diamond Head hike & Pearl Harbor
Another place we had to make reservation to go was Diamond Head hike. We managed to get a parking & hikers tickets for 6-8am. We had to leave there by 8am. So we woke up at 4, got ready to leave hotel by 5:30am. Amazingly, big nature Diamond Head is right next to the city. I mean, I knew that as I saw on the map, but it was little weird feeling that I was driving in the neighborhood and all the sudden the entrance of Diamond Head pop out. It was still dark when we got there. We only had 2 hours to hike up and down, and since it’s still dark, we were little bummed that we had to wake up early during vacation time, but it also means that we might be able to see the sun rise from the top of the Diamond Head! So we encouraged ourselves for quite tough hike in the dark for the sun rise. I’m sure it was not easy for Achi & Ayako, since they had to carry Kiko. She walked for first 5 mins but started fussing, so they carried her in baby carrier. And they had backpack for baby ite...
