Akaka fall & Onekahakaha beach
It’s Saturday! Our nomad husband, whose days of the week supposed not matter, always want to take off on Saturday and Sunday lol. So today is our outing day! We started from visiting local markets. First, we went to local coffee shop where they also “supposed” to have a market. They had about 3 vendors and one NPO project which they are hand curving carousel animals to represent each island. Hmm. Ok next. Have you heard about Pele’s hair? Nearby coffee shop had some for display. We went to Akaka Falls, north of Hilo and the hike was pleasant. The nature was amazing again. We saw wild banana trees, amazing banyan tree, and beautiful fall. We have quick lunch picnic nearby the fall. We grabbed the lunch in Hilo before we went to Akaka Falls. It’s called “popover”. I had no idea when we went and order it. Apparently it’s like exploded muffin looking bread. I think it’s same thing as cream puff without cream but it was amazing.
