Life in cabin

Sometimes, it’s great to challenge ourselves what minimum we need for our life. One reason we love traveling is so that we can see different lifestyles or opportunities. I believe it helps our kids to open their eyes to understand the world better.

One thing I love about Hawaii

Hawaii has strong influence of Japan, so it’s easy to find Japanese food everywhere. Much easer than TN. We’re going to enjoy Japanese milk bread everyday any grocery store carries :-) Kids are in charge of dishes. About time. As they know they don’t have any devices available, they won’t complain for it or whine about it, but just doing their best to spend their day. Reading books together, exploring around the house… I love this life! Maybe because I’ve been in bed all day lol (hey I’m sick!) I decide to take a grocery shopping and laundry trip with kids after lunch while the medicine is still working. The closest grocery store is about 30 mins drive… just like Paris TN from the farm house. There are local business on the way, like bakeries, gas stations with local mini market, and veggies and fruits stands. I stopped by at fruits stand for some fruits and veggies. Kids got a sugar cane and the stand guy helped to cut it up for us. Local laundry mat was in the same shopping area...

Not much going on..

I’m still not 100%. Cough & runny nose. Fever seems went down (hooray), so let’s see if meds will help me feeling better.  While I was in bed all day, kids did great playing outside for dry time and inside for rain time. They dug up games sores here to play, and found some leaves to play with. Meg made her bed more private by making curtains. Top bed is Bo’s and they hang out there reading books together. John started to work on jobs, and having schedules to offer online meeting with others. Thankfully we have power (&wifi) and water with generator running. I wish solar panels work for power so we don’t have to hear generator running all the time.  Bo had a nightmare last night to wake up all of us. He seems so upset or frustrated from this dream in the middle of the night. We tried to wake him up but he got worse. Finally Meg managed to calm him down and set him back to sleep. She’s a good sister.
