A day in Hilo
Sorry I woke up too late today and it’s early morning departure day, so I’ll just write as much as I can. It started from the bakery I wanted to go was closed lol so we ended up to go to seven eleven to grab a breakfast for everyone. There are very deep influence of Japanese food culture here, so I’ve been enjoying spam musubi(rice ball), poke inari, etc. After a relaxing breakfast, we finally left for the adventure. We wanted to do 2 things: botanical garden and beach. On the way to the botanical garden, we explored Hilo town. It was a cute old town facing ocean, and the market was small but cute. We got so many tropical fruits. We had Vietnamese for lunch. Botanical garden was amazing. Crazy things here is, you’ll see plants that you’ve only seen in pots at Lowe’s or some office decor, they have those in nature, usually a double or triple size.
