A month in Hawaii 2025

Oh it’s January 1st. Happy New Year y’all!! We still don’t have power or water. We’re still fine though. Let’s see what happened. Chris (you know who he is by now?) and John tried to see if they can fix water and power situation one more time in the morning. I wish it worked but unfortunately not. We’re start thinking how to survive without a running water and power. It’s like a survival planning! Since the weather is nice, we don’t have to worry about heating the cabin. Thankfully propane is working, so I can use refrigerator and stove. I still need water for cooking/drinking, cleaning for dishes, bath water and toilet. We need power for John’s work and charging electric items. Maybe we can fill portable water tanks and fill it up somewhere to bring it back to home? John can go to co-working space to work? What’s the option, what’s the plan?? I love planning things like this. Since we had to go back to Kona to pick up my family, we decided to have some fun. Lucky for us, volcano is er...

 Oh my goodness, where should we start? So, Kona airport was different for sure. They don’t have walls lol As soon as we got out from the airplane, we all got steamed up.  Exit gate to the terminal from the airplane They have building, but no walls… It took little while for us to find Chris (the cabin owner)’s car in the parking lot, but we managed to find it.  After we grabbed dinner bento boxes at a gas station and ate it with a sunset view with holizon, we headed to Target to grab kid’s booster seats. In Hawaii law, kids under 10 need them. I pre-ordered online to pick up, so as soon as we got there, store peo ple brought them to our car. I appreciate this convenient service! No need to get distracted by other stuff I probably don’t need to buy lol There are only 3 routes between Kona (west side) to Hilo (east side).
